The Guardian journalist confirms Arsenal ready to active central midfielder's transfer clause

By

Arsenal are still interested in signing Jean Michael Seri from Nice according to The Guardian journalist Ed Aarons.

Recent reports have suggested that the 25-year-old will sign for Serie A giants Roma.

But so far no agreement has been reached between the two clubs.

Arsenal are also interested with Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur also keeping an eye on the situation.

Last week, president Jean-Pierre Rivere made it clear that the player will not leave the club this summer.

"I think I've always been very, very clear on the subject," Rivere told a press conference in France.

"Mika is part of our project and to date I haven't received an offer.

"We have a moral engagement with Mika, at a certain amount. Full stop. He's on holiday right now, he's resting and I can assure you he's with us."
