Medical and official announcement next week: Arsenal set to conclude second summer signing

By

Arsenal are confident they will be able to announce the signing of Monaco star Thomas Lemar next week, Metro has revealed.

The winger is expected to move to the Emirates for £30million.

He played more than 50 games for Monaco last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 17 assists for his team-mates.

Talks between the two clubs are ongoing with the Gunners eager to secure the player's services before the start of pre-season.

Lemar, 21, is a target for a number of top European clubs but the North Londoners are strongly in pole position.

Respected journalist Matt Spiro has in fact confirmed on Twitter that an improved bid by Arsenal has already been made.
