"Arsene Wenger is keen to sign him" - Arsenal ready to meet striker's £53million price tag

By

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in this summer’s transfer window and is not put off his £53million price tag, Metro has revealed this morning.

The 26-year-old is together with Kylian Mbappe one of the many players linked with a summer move to the Emirates.

Last week, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that the Gunners have made an offer to sign the player.

"Lacazette was told he could leave – we now have a very nice offer from Arsenal," Aulas said.

"But for us he will not leave."

The Frenchman is indeed one of the many targets identified by manager Arsene Wenger to strengthen his offensive department.

He was already a target for the Gunners during last summer's transfer window but no agreement was reached between the two clubs after the North Londoners offered only £28.5million to secure the services of the striker.
