"Talks have already taken place" - £60million striker is a firm target for Arsene Wenger

Alexandre Lacazette is a "is a firm target for Arsenal this summer" and talks have already taken place between the Gunners and Lyon, the Telegraph has claimed.

The striker was all set to join Atletico Madrid this summer by after their transfer ban was upheld he is now searching for a new club.

Manager Arsene Wenger is an admirer of the 26-year-old who made it clear that he might decide to wait until January to finally seal his dream move to the Spanish Liga.

But he was also full of praise for the English Premier League.

"It is possible [to wait], it is a possibility that we can not exclude," he told Eurosport.

"Like everyone else, I heard the news. The decision did not turn me upside down, life goes on.

"It's [the Premier League] a beautiful championship with interesting teams. For now, these are just rumours.

"Dortmund? [They] are a big club."
