"Contract is ready" - Arsenal to meet agent this week to complete another transfer deal


Arsenal will meet with the agent of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this week to extend the contract of the attacking midfielder, the Daily Star has revealed.

Having made Sead Kolasinac his first summer signing, manager Arsene Wenger is now focusing on keeping important players at the Emirates.

The Frenchman is expected to also meet with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to offer them a new contract and put an end to all the speculation surrounding their future.

Oxlade-Chamberlain joined the Gunners during the 2011 summer transfer window but has never managed to make an impact in Wenger's squad.

But after the 67-year-old deployed a 3-4-3 formation for the last part of last season, the 23-year-old has become a pivotal element of his squad.
