Arsenal join race to sign Barcelona target - President confirms: "We already received an offer"

By

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri, according to the Sun.

A target for Barcelona and Roma, the Ivorian enjoyed a very positive campaign and is available on the market for £35million.

The Giallorossi have already made an official offer to secure the services of the 25-year-old but president Jean-Pierre River says it was not high enough to reach an agreement.

"We have one wish and that is to keep Jean Michael," he said.

"The press are saying a lot of things.

"As far as we are concerned, aside from Roma who firmed up their interest but were told that their offer was not big enough, there have been no offers from other clubs."
