Arsenal in £17.5million negotiations to finalise striker summer deal with Spanish giants

By

Arsenal are expected to meet Sevilla and Deportivo La Coruna to negotiate the transfer of striker Lucas Perez, the Sun has revealed.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave the Emirates after spending most of his first season at the club on the bench.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Sevilla are ready to offer £17.5million to secure the services of the Spaniard.

Earlier this week, he confessed that leaving the North Londoners is a possibility during the summer transfer window.

"This season has been difficult because I think I've deserved to play more," Perez told Spanish newspaper La Voz de Galicia.

"I may not have done as well as others, but if they'd have given me more minutes I'd have produced better numbers: more goals and more assists.

"I've spoken to the coach and he admits as much, but he has own ideas and I respect that. I'd like more opportunities because I think I deserve them, but I'll have to accept what comes my way."
