Arsenal's fifth summer signing could be announced tomorrow - personal terms agreed with the player, medical next

By

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Deporting La Coruna striker Lucas Perez, Marca has revealed.

The 27-year-old is a confirmed target for Ronald Koeman's Everton but the player would prefer to join Arsenal and play the Champions League.

The Toffees agreed personal terms with the player but Arsenal have hijacked their bid and are now in pole position to secure his services.

The Sun also believes that a medical could be done as early as tomorrow in order for Arsenal to sign the player before Saturday's away game against Watford.

Manager Arsene Wenger has only signed Japan's Takuma Asano to strengthen his offensive department but the 21-year-old is expected to be loaned out.

If the transfer goes through, the Spaniard will become Wenger's fifth signing of the summer after Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano, Rob Holding and Kelechi Nwakali.
