Kostas Manolas to Arsenal: The very latest on the defender's potential move to the Emirates

By

Roma will not sell their key players in these last few days of the summer transfer window, Sky Sport Italy has just revealed.

Reports on Tuesday revealed that Arsenal are again showing interest in defender Kostas Manolas after the Giallorossi failed to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League.

The Italians are £12million short of what was planned for the last week of August having missed out on the Champions League bonus.

But they will not sell the Greece international or any other of their key players to make up for the deficit.

Roma were heavily defeated by 3-0 at home by Porto on Tuesday night in a game that saw Luciano Spalletti's side reduced to nine men after two straight red cards to Daniele De Rossi and Emerson Palmieri.

The Greece international was eager to feature in Europe's most prestigious competition and was ready to consider offers.

But the club has made it clear that all players will stay despite defeat at the hands of Porto in the play-offs of Europe's most prestigious competition.
