Arsenal finalise transfer of striker - player poses in his new shirt after signing contract

By

The transfer of Arsenal striker Joel Campbell to Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan deal is now official.

The Portuguese club have confirmed on their official website that the Costa Rican will spend this season at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

The 24-year-old was all smiles as he declared that his objective is to win the league with his new club.

"I am here to win the league!" he told the club's official website.

"I want to pay back the confidence people have shown in me.

"Of course I spoke with [fellow Costa Rican] Bryan Rui, who told me a lot of good things about the club, but it was the support of the president and coach that made me take this decision.

"I will work as hard as I can and results will speak for themselves. I know what I can do and I hope everything goes well here."
