Arsenal have made a £43million offer to sign Manchester United midfielder target

Arsenal have reportedly made a shock offer to land Julian Draxler this summer, the Daily Star has revealed.

According to the article, the Gunners have made a £43million offer to sign the midfielder who is also a target for Manchester United.

The youngster is considered by many as one of the most promising midfielders in European football.

Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs revealed this week that the player wants to join a top European club but that he will not be sold during the summer transfer window.

"It is clear that Wolfsburg is not the end of his dreams – neither was Schalke," Allofs told German outlet Sport Bild.

"There are clubs like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona or one or other club from England.

"But Julian knows exactly how the contractual situation is. He has a long-term contract with us. We plan to stick with it!"
