Arsenal set to seal second summer signing as impressive #10 confirms talks are being held

By

Striker Takuma Asano has confirmed Arsenal have made an approach to sign him this summer.

The Gunners have made direct contact with the youngster's club, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, to understand if they are ready to sell him this month.

He scored 25 goals in 88 appearances for Sanfrecce and is expected to be named in Japan’s squad for the summer Olympics games in Rio de Janeiro.

"I was a little stunned," he is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.

"But I feel like I have the confidence to succeed wherever I go.

"If I am loaned elsewhere, my take on it is that I give it 100 percent."
