Arsenal club official makes official transfer bid to sign 19-year-old impressive wonderkid

By

Arsenal have launched an "official" bid to land Gabriel Barbosa in the summer transfer window, according to Metro.

The youngster scored an impressive 54 goals in 148 appearances for Santos and is a target for a number of top European clubs.

A problem for the Gunners could be the 19-year-old's £40million release clause in his current deal at Santos.

Last week, "Gabigol" was coy on his plans for the future.

"Yes, I have proposals that please me from big European clubs, but that's with my parents and my agents," he said.

"But I'm happy at Santos. This will be resolved soon. Santos is my home, my place, but let's take it easy and then decide."
