Defender extends contract: This is why I said "no" to Arsenal and Liverpool

By

Arsenal and Liverpool target Kieran Tierney says it was not difficult to reject a move to the English Premier League.

The Celtic defender has signed a five-year contract with his club hence putting an end to rumours linking him with a move away from Celtic Park.

The youngster did however admit that he was flattered by interest from top European clubs.

"They are huge clubs and it's the Premier League so of course you take a bit of pride in that," he told the Daily Record.

"But I never thought about leaving at all. You think about the interest but it never crossed my mind to leave.

"I'm delighted to be here and sign that new contract.

"The negotiations didn't take too long at all."
