Club legend gives shocking update on Jamie Vardy's medical and it's not good news for Arsenal fans

By

Arsenal legend Ray Parlour says Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy will not join the Gunners this summer.

Last week, CNN journalist Ben Fairthorne wrote on Twitter that the Englishman passed his medical at Arsenal but according to the "Romford Pele" the striker never went to Arsenal's training ground even though the club's cameramen and digital staff were all expecting his arrival.

The Englishman confirmed that the transfer was all set to be concluded but also that the 29-year-old decided to leave the country without making contact with the North London club.

"I was at the Arsenal the other day and there were big reports flying around, and the club's cameramen and digital staff had to get down to the training ground," Parlour told talkSPORT.

"So it looked like it was going to happen - there was a medical being done.

"But it seems Vardy thought about it while on England duty, and suddenly there was a U-turn.

"It looks like it isn’t happening now."
