Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea remain in battle for top class central defender

By

Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea will battle for Bayern Munich defender Medhi Benatia, RMC Sport has confirmed.

The 29-year-old impressed after joining Udinese in 2010 before moving to Roma where he became one of the most impressive defenders in the Serie A.

But he struggled to make an impact in the Bundesliga after leaving the Giallorossi to join Bayern Munich.

He is expected to leave the German giants during the summer transfer window with top Premier League clubs all ready to make a move to secure his services.

Paris-Saint Germain are also rumoured to be interested in the Moroccan.
