Arsenal set to lose star as one-year loan agreement with an option to buy is agreed with Italian giants

Italian giants Roma are very close to securing an agreement for Porto Alegre goalkeeper Alisson Becker but need to decide what to do with their existing goalkeepers, Italy's reports.

Romania's Bogdan Lobont is expected to stay and so is Arsenal's Wojciech Szczesny who enjoyed regular football under manager Luciano Spalletti.

It is in fact the 57-year-old who asked the club to extend his loan for one more year and to demand an option to buy at the end of next season.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger considers the Poland international as one who could take over from Petr Cech but could be forced to sell the 26-year-old if an important offer is made by Roma.
