Rafa Benitez all but rules out Karim Benzema move to Arsenal

By

Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez has again ruled out the sale of striker Karim Benzema to Arsenal.

According to recent reports, the Gunners are ready to offer £48m to secure the services of the Frenchman but as Benitez correctly pointed out, the Spanish giants have not signed any replacement for Benzema as a clear indication that the 27-year-old will not leave the club.

"I'm convinced that Benzema is a great striker, so I have given him a target of 25 goals to motivate him," Benitez is quoted as saying by Sport.

"We have Cristiano Ronaldo; Jese Rodriguez has been a great alternative in pre-season and then there's [Borja] Mayoral and the younger players.

"At the moment, we are not looking for another No.9."
