Arsene Wenger speaks out on Mesut Ozil and Joel Campbell exit rumours

By

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has rubbished rumours linking midfielder Mesut Ozil and striker Joel Campbell with a possible exit from the Emirates.

Recent reports have claimed that Besiktas have made a move for the Germany international but the Frenchman confirmed that the 26-year-old is committed to Arsenal.

Palermo, on the other hand, made an official enquiry for striker Joel Campbell but the two clubs failed to reach a financial agreement with the Costa Rican expected to stay at the club.

"He [Mesut Ozil] is a wonderful player who is completely committed to the club and focused on getting some good results," Wenger told reporters on Friday.

"At the moment he [Joel Campbell] is here and personally I would like to keep him.

"I will have to sit down with Joel because I rate him highly as a player and personally if he stays here I am very happy."
