Arsenal plot sensational £45m double swoop for South American stars

Arsenal are lining up a sensational double transfer swoop for Paris Saint-Germain’s Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani, according to Eurosport.

Reports from Spain claim that Arsenal's pursuit for Karim Benzema was dealt a major blow after coach Rafa Benitez made it clear, once again, that the Frenchman is not for sale.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has therefore turned his attention to the two former Napoli players who would add experience and plenty of goals to the Arsenal squad.

The Uruguay international has a market transfer value of £35.

Lavezzi, who is also a target for Manchester United, Valencia and Internazionale, is on the market for £10m.
