Karim Benzema to stay at Real Madrid: Arsenal turn attention to PSG ace

By

Arsenal are ready to switch their attentions to Paris Saint-Germain Edinson Cavani as the Karim Benzema transfer saga drags on, Mirror has revealed.

Real Madrid are determined to keep the Frenchman and have ruled out selling the striker on several occasions.

And even though Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has ruled out rushing into the transfer market after last week's shock defeat against West Ham United, it is clear time is running out for the Gunners to strengthen in attack.

Cavani, 28, has already made his official debut for the French giants in their 1-0 away win at Lille and just like Benzema, he is considered not for sale by coach Laurent Blanc.

A third option for Arsenal is Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain but the Argentine has a £66m buy-out clause that the Gunners are not ready to meet.
