French playmaker explains why he snubbed Arsenal to sign new contract

By

Lyon forward Nabil Fekir admits he would like to play in England in the future but also that he is happy to continue at Lyon.

The youngster signed a new long-term contract with the French side last month, putting an end to speculation over a possible move to the Emirates.

But he declared that he would be interested in a move to the Premier League after his spell at Lyon comes to an end.

"It'll happen one day [to join a different club], but [at the moment] I'm happy at Lyon, near my family, in this club," Fekir told France Football.

"Why not in the future? You never know. But, to be honest, I would prefer to have an experience abroad after Lyon.

"After that, you just have to prepare yourself for anything in life and in football".
