Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger makes move for impressive 16-year-old winger

Arsenal are ready to snap up Newcastle starlet Rolando Aarons, the Daily Star has revealed.

The Magpies are determined to offer the youngster a new long-term deal to keep him at the club.

But he could be tempted to make a move to North London.

He decided against going on holiday in the summer to prepare for the new season and enjoy regular first-team football.

"I didn't play last season so there was no reason for me to go on holiday," he is quoted as saying by the Chronicle Live.

"I just wanted to get a bit more work in because I want to play a lot of games. The main thing for me this season is to just get games.

"I didn't [do that] last season so I am just happy to be back to playing again."
