Atletico Madrid in pole position to sign Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder target

By

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Thiago Motta has insisted that he will leave the club this summer.

The 32-year-old is a target for a number of Premier League clubs although he declared that his desire is to feature in the Spanish Liga with Atletico Madrid.

"The club knows my will," he told L'Equipe.

"I want to leave. We talked and we will continue to speak until the end.

"It will be [chairman] Nasser Al-Khelaifi who will decide my future,

"The most important thing is that I was sincere and honest. My wish is always to leave. I need to do new things for my career, to find the motivation to play at the highest level.

"I have something in my head and I know that it came out in the press.

"We talked about Atletico Madrid, it's a club where could do everything I haven't done at other clubs so far. It is a big challenge."
