Arsenal in pole position to sign Napoli and Chelsea defender target

By

Arsenal are strong favourites to sign Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli, Calciomercato.it has revealed.

Milan are very much interested in signing the player but the Giallorossi turned down their initial £17m offer.

Napoli and Chelsea have also showed interest in the youngster although Roma would prefer to sell the player to the Gunners who are ready to meet the player's asking-price of £21m, a fee that Milan are not ready to meet according to coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

"I like strawberries too but they shouldn't cost as much as oysters," the Serbian said.
