Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd suffer blow in £50m ace transfer pursuit

Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze will not leave the club, manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed.

The 23-year-old became a target for a number of European clubs after his agent slammed Bayern Munich for not supporting the player in more than one occasion last season.

But Guardiola says he will not sell one of his squad's best players.

"Mario's got a contract here, he's my player and he's a great player too," Guardiola is quoted as saying by Express Sport.

"In my mind, he is going to be a Bayern Munich player all season.

"He's a top player, but I know that it's not only the coach who decides here. It depends on the club."
