Arsenal join Roma in shock move for Manchester City striker

By

Arsenal are lining up a shock deal to sign Edin Dzeko from Manchester City, according to Metro.

Contrary to the likes of Gonzalo Higuain or Karim Benzema, the 29-year-old would bring Premier League experience to Arsene Wenger's squad.

Meanwhile, Roma captain Francesco Totti says he would welcome the striker with open arms if he decides to make a move to the Serie A.

"I hope he's among the new signings because he's a top player, formidable at scoring goals," Totti said at the start of the week.

"He'd help us do better than last season, that's for sure."
