Striker Yaya Sanogo set to year-long loan deal at Ajax

By

Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo has agreed to join Ajax on a year-long loan deal, the Daily Star has reported.

The 22-year-old was loaned out to Crystal Palace during in the last January transfer window and will spend next season again out on loan.

He was a target for Ligue 1 side Lille last month but will join the Dutch club after an agreement was reached with Arsenal.

Despite the absence of striker Danny Welbeck, boss Arsene Wenger opted not to include the player for the pre-season Barclays Asia Trophy today as a clear sign that he is not part of the Frenchman's plans for next season.
