Striker Yaya Sanogo getting the "Campbell and Miyaichi treatment" at Arsenal

By

Lille have approached Arsenal over the possibility of taking striker Yaya Sanogo on a season-long loan, the London Evening Standard reports.

The 22-year-old joined the Gunners two years ago but never managed to secure a regular place in Arsene Wenger's squad.

He was loaned out to Crystal Palace during the January transfer window and is set to be loaned out again this summer.

Just like Ryo Miyaichi and Joel Campbell, Sanogo joined Arsenal hoping to become a regular in the Frenchman's squad but a lack of first-team football at the Emirates could force the striker to leave on a permanent basis.

At Crystal Palace, the youngster played 11 games, scoring his only goal for the club in the 3-2 away from home win over Southampton in the FA Cup.
