Manchester City refuse to give up chase for top-rated Arsenal midfielder

By

Manchester City will move for Jack Wilshere if they fail in their bid to sign Paul Pogba, the Sun reports.

The Juventus midfielder continues to be one of the main targets for the Citizens but as confirmed by coach Massimiliano Allegri last week, the Bianconeri have no reason to sell the Frenchman.

Wilshere, 23, played only 24 games for the Gunners last season after spending weeks on the sidelines because of injuries.

Earlier this month, the England international insisted that his desire is to continue at Arsenal.

"Of course [I'm staying]," Wilshere told Express Sport.

"I've been injured for a long time this season. I've worked hard. All I want to do at the minute is play football."
