Chelsea and Arsenal given hope in Lacazette chase as agent confirms interest

By

Alexandre Lacazette's agent David Venditelli has rejected claims that his client has reached a £2.8m-per-season agreement with Olympique Lyonnais.

President Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed he is ready to offer a new contract to the striker saying that he will earn "at least four million euros a year."

But Venditelli says the player is yet to reach an agreement with the club.

"I decided to speak out after reading about the [£2.8m] offer made to the player," Venditelli told Le Parisien.

"We did meet with the club, it was a very polite meeting but the mentioned values are not correct.

"A number of clubs are very much interested in the player and some of the offers are very interesting especially ahead of next year's European championship."
