Agent offers slim hope to Arsenal over striker deal

By

Porto striker Jackson Martinez is not yet a Milan player, his agent has revealed.

Asked if the Colombian has reached an agreement with the Rossoneri, Luiz Enrique Pompeo said that his client is focused on doing well with his national team.

"Jackson didn't say anything about Milan because there was no need to. Nothing has been decided yet," Pompeo told Record.

"I am the only person who will speak about this during the tournament.

'"Jackson is not just sitting around on his couch at home. He is concentrated on his work with Colombia in the Copa America.

"This is his absolute priority right now and I can say he is absolutely relaxed."

But in Italy, reports have already confirmed the transfer in what will make Martinez the third most expensive signing in the history of the Milan club.

He will sign for £25m with Portugal's Rui Costa leading the table after he signed from Fiorentina for £29m. Last season's coach Filippo Inzaghi is second in the list after joining from Juventus for £26m.
