Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech edging close to Arsenal move

By

French giants Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly distanced themselves from signing Petr Cech, because his first choice is Arsenal, Express Sport reports.

The 33-year-old is almost certain to leave the Blues after boss Jose Mourinho opted for Thibaut Courtois as his regular goalkeeper this season.

He is keen to remain in England and ideally in London with Arsenal reported to be the goalkeeper's first choice.

Meanwhile, boss Jose Mourinho insists that he wants to keep the Czech at Stamford Bridge.

"I will have to accept any decision that the owner has," Mourinho said.

"I'm different. I have the same respect for Petr that everybody at the club has, but my answer [to a proposed move to Arsenal] would be: 'No way.'

"If the answer is different I will accept that. But at every club that is interested in Petr I can find a player that I like in that team, too."
