Arsenal set to lose out in race for French midfielder

By

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye is ready to make a return to the English Premier League.

The 29-year-old is expected to leave the French giants after failing to secure a regular place in Laurent Blanc's squad this season.

Arsenal and Crystal Palace are rumoured to be interested and the midfielder says it would be a pleasure to again work with ex-manager Alan Pardew.

"It went very well with him [Alan Pardew]. I enjoyed it with him and he does a great job," Cabaye told Le Parisien.

"The most important thing is to find fun. If I have to make that decision, it will be a pleasure to see my old coach.

"[The Premier League is a] league I like, the country too.

"There may be an opportunity, as there may be others. The important thing is that I will think carefully and make the best decision."
