Arsenal suffer blow in race for talented Japanese midfielder

Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda will stay at the club despite a number of offers including Schalke 04 and Arsenal.

After a brilliant start to the season in which he scored six goals in seven games, the 28-year-old struggled to make an impact in Filippo Inzaghi's squad after featuring in the Asian Cup for his country.

But according to, the Japan international is determined to fight for a regular place at Milan next season and is ready to turn down offers from the former German champions and Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.
