Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says the busy Christmas period will allow non-regular players to feature on a regular basis.
Striker Lukas Podolski enjoyed a healthy run in the group stage of the Champions League and the Frenchman insists the 29-year-old will get his opportunities.
"He's [Lukas Podolski] getting back into good form and there's a lot of competition up front," Wenger said.
"We have injuries in midfield and at the back but up front we have all the players available so I can rotate a little bit game by game. He will get his opportunities.
"I can understand the frustrations of the players who are top quality and don't play. But as well that is part of the job.
"You always have to be ready when you can help the team and the club. I cannot play all of the forwards so I have to make decisions."
The Gunners host Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon and Wenger was full of praise for Magpies boss Alan Pardew during Friday's press conference.
"I think he [Alan Pardew] has done very well," Wenger said.
"He has gone through a very difficult patch at Newcastle and he has dealt with it with strength and dignity. Fortunately he has been rewarded for it.
"He did extremely well last year until December. Afterwards, he lost [Yohan] Cabaye and it became very difficult.
"This year, they had a difficult start and now they are on a great run. He's done a great job to redress that. It's not easy."
