Arsene Wenger: Injury update on Gibbs, Koscielny and Szczesny

By

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny will resume training on Friday.

The 24-year-old was a forced substitution when the Gunners played Manchester United in November but is expected to be back in the starting line-up next week.

"Nacho Monreal is out for tomorrow's game," Wenger said.

"Hopefully Kieran Gibbs will be back. [Laurent] Koscielny must be assessed.

"We might lose [Tomas] Rosicky, [Yaya] Sanogo. Wojciech Szczesny should be in full training today [but] I don't know if he'll be available.

"Mathieu Debuchy is back in training [but the game] is too early for him.

"He [Theo Walcott] has an injection today so he will not play. Galatasaray [next week] is also too early."
