Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini revealed the Gunners were disappointed after Saturday's 2-2 draw against Manchester City.
A late Martín Demichelis goal denied the Gunners an important win but Flamini is convinced the game will help the Gunners mature and improve.
"We're disappointed because I believe we had the possibility to win this game. Unfortunately we didn't but it's part of the game," Flamini told Arsenal Player.
"I think everyone enjoyed the game. [It was played with a ] very high intensity and we gave everything against a very good team today on the pitch, but that's the Premier League.
"Of course it's very important we didn't lose this game but like I said we had the possibility to win it.
"Unfortunately we didn't and we're just a bit disappointed because we have a lot of quality in our team.
"We have more maturity and this team is growing well, and I'm very proud of the boys. We gave everything again today and were great."
Defender Mathieu Debuchy is expected to be on the sidelines for months after suffering a serious ankle injury and Flamini believes it's a big blow for the former Newcastle man.
"I'm just very sad for Mathieu Debuchy," added the midfielder.
"We don't know what he has but it looks serious.
"[It's] very unfortunate for him and we wanted to win the game especially for him. We didn't so now we have to recover.
