Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was delighted to see two quality goals from his players as the Gunners held reigning champions Manchester City to a 2-2 draw on Saturday.
With Chelsea beating Swansea the Gunners are now six points from the top of the table but the French manager can take heart from a very good performance against a determined City side.
"It was done [the two quality goals] by two players who had very good games today; [Alexis] Sanchez and [Jack] Wilshere," Wenger said during Saturday's press conference.
"They were rewarded for their performances and took their goals very well."
"We conceded two goals and I believe we are an offensive team.
"We go forward a lot but at the moment that's where we can improve."
New signing Danny Welbeck twice went close to mark his debut with a goal but was substituted in the dying minutes of the game due to fatigue.
"He had cramps and he should be okay," the manager added.
"He did well. I believe that he needs to develop his link play with our players but that is a bit normal.
"It's sad that he couldn't take his chance but overall every time he had an opportunity to find some space he looked dangerous.
"There are some things to work on with him to integrate him well into our game but I'm happy with his first game."
