Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed midfielder Aaron Ramsey could face Manchester City on Saturday.
The Wales international was taken off in the dying minutes of the match against Andorra after twisting his ankle on the controversial artificial pitch and will undergo further tests ahead of the weekend's important game.
"The first news [on Aaron Ramsey] is not bad," Wenger told reporters during Thursday's press conference.
"He will be assessed today and he has a little chance to be available for Saturday. He had an ankle sprain but it's a minor one that's for sure.
"Will it be enough to be available for Saturday? We'll know today."
The Frenchman added that midfielder Mikel Arteta and defender Kieran Gibbs are both back in the squad but striker Theo Walcott is still months away from returning to training.
"[Mikel] Arteta and [Kieran] Gibbs are back in the squad and in normal training," added Wenger.
"[Mesut] Ozil had a knock and didn't play for Germany because he had a sprained ankle. He will be available as well.
"[Theo] Walcott is two to three weeks away from joining full training."
