Done Deal: Manchester United complete summer transfer deal, player has already passed medical and signed contract

By

Manchester United have confirmed on their official website that midfielder Fred will be at Old Trafford next season.

A statement on the club's official website says: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk for the transfer of Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos (Fred)."

The player was eager to complete the deal before the start of the World Cup Finals.

Reports have claimed that he signed a five-year contract with the club and joins for an estimated fee of £52million.

The Brazilian took full advantage of his time in London with the National team to finalise the transfer.

He was very close to joining Manchester City in the January transfer window but his club Shakhtar Donetsk decided to keep him until the end of the season as they were still in the Champions League.
