Market transfer experts reveals: This man is the favourite to take over from Antonio Conte

By

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth believes Maurizio Sarri is still in pole position to take over from Antonio Conte if Chelsea sack the Italian.

The future of the former Juventus boss remains unclear amid rumours that he will be sacked later on this month.

"If Conte goes, Sarri would be the favourite to take over," Sheth told the Sky Sports Transfer Centre podcast.

It is not an easy situation for the Blues.

Reports in Italy have claimed that Conte is determined to stay on so as to avoid the £10million penalty he would have to pay if he leaves.

On the other hand, the club would have to pay him £9million if they decided to sack him.

Laurent Blanc and Zinedine Zidane have also been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
